5K RUN & WALK
For the newbie runner, those looking for a slightly less punishing Sunday morning run ... or the speed demons ... the 5k course at Run the Point is flat, fast and awesome. Get amongst it!
Runners in the 5k will start at 8am - along with the 5k and 15k runners - whilst those in the Competitive Walk will start 3 minutes later. We ask that walkers stay out of the start chute until the runners have cleared the start area.
See below for a description and map of the course.
The Course
All participants in the 5k, 10 and 15k (Run or Walk) at Run the Point will start under the Start Arch on De Havilland Rd and proceed around a stunning - and mostly traffic free - 5km loop of the peninsula.
THE 5K RACE IS A SINGLE LAP OF THE 5K LOOP
At the end of the lap, you will reach the "Decision Point" where you must continue ahead for the finish line . Don't get confused and follow the 10k or 15k runner in front of you - you might end up getting more distance than you bargained for! Check out the "Decision Point" map and description in the course maps page.
